WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DOULA AND A MIDWIFE OR OB?
A midwife or OB provides all your medical and healthcare needs. Doulas are there for emotional, physical, non-medical support for mothers and their families. They help make sure the mother's needs are met.
WHERE DO YOU ATTEND BIRTHS?
I currently attend hospital and home births in central Kentucky and surrounding counties. Lexington, Winchester, Georgetown, Nicholasville, Versailles, Frankfort, and Berea are places I frequent. Don't hesitate to reach out if you live in other places near here!
WILL MY PARTNER STILL BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BIRTH AND POSTPARTUM PERIOD?
Of course! I want your birth experience to strengthen the relationship between you and your partner. Whatever that looks like for your family, I am here to support you, both.
CAN I GET REIMBURSED FOR DOULA SERVICES THROUGH MY INSURANCE COMPANY?
I do not currently work with insurance companies for reimbursement.
